  • (a) Website Owner. NextGen Manchester Resiliency Council ("NextGen MRC”) is the owner of this website ("NextGen Website)"). NextGen MRC can be contacted by mail at 500 Commercial Street, Manchester NH 03101 by e-mail at info@nextgenmanchester.org. This online privacy notice discloses NextGen MRC’s information practices for this NextGen Website, including what type of personal identifiable information is requested in order to interact with our site, how the information is used, and with whom the information is shared. Note that other NextGen MRC’s websites may be governed by privacy notices containing different information practices applicable to those sites.

    (b) Website Visits. Upon usage of the NextGen Website, NextGen MRC, or its affiliates, may analyze your IP address and other data gathered for analyzing website trends and statistics.

     

    (c) Website Interactions. At times, NextGen MRC will require a user’s personal information. It is NextGen MRC's intent to inform you before NextGen collects personal information, such as user's name and/or address on the Internet. You may opt out of this collection of personal information at any time by contacting NextGen MRC per the contact information provided above.

In order to interact with the NextGen Website, or to receive communications from NextGen MRC, NextGen MRC will request a user to provide certain personal identifying information (“PII”), which may include: legal name, postal address, e-mail address, user name, password, telephone number, facsimile number, method of payment, and, if applicable, credit card number. NextGen MRC may request additional information necessary to establish and maintain a user’s account and communications.

    (b) Information from Children. NextGen MRC does not use PII collected from children for marketing or promotional purposes, and does not disclose such information to any third party for any purpose whatsoever.

  • (a) Limited Uses Identified. Without user’s prior consent, NextGen MRC will not use your PII for any purpose other than that for which it is submitted. NextGen MRC uses PII to register for email correspondence, reply to inquiries, handle complaints, provide operational notices and in program record-keeping. NextGen MRC also processes billing and business requests related to NextGen’s Website participation.

    (b) Stored Information Uses. NextGen MRC may store and retain the information entered on the NextGen Website. Stored information is used by NextGen MRC and/or NextGen MRC agents: to support user’s interaction with the NextGen Website and to provide information to users about NextGen MRC’s current events, including but not limited to program offerings and job opportunities .

  • (a) Mergers and Acquisitions. Circumstances may arise where for business reasons, NextGen MRC decides to sell, buy, merge or otherwise reorganize its businesses in the United States or some other country. Such a transaction may involve the disclosure of PII to prospective or actual purchasers, and/or receiving such information from sellers. It is Nextgen MRC's practice to seek appropriate protection for information in these types of transactions.

    (b) Affiliated Businesses. NextGen MRC works closely with affiliated businesses. These businesses identify themselves to users. PII related to an interaction with an affiliated business is shared with that affiliated business.

    (c) Marketing Analysis by Third Parties. NextGen MRC reserves the right to disclose to third parties personal information about users for marketing analysis; however, any information disclosed will be in the form of aggregate data that does not describe or identify an individual user.

    Disclosure to Governmental Authorities. Under certain circumstances, personal information may be subject to disclosure pursuant to a judicial or other government subpoenas, warrants or orders.

  • (a) Use of Cookies. NextGen MRC, or its third party vendors, collect non-identifiable and personal information through the use of various technologies, including "cookies". A cookie is an alphanumeric identifier that a Website can transfer to user’s hard drive through user’s browser. The cookie is then stored on user’s computer as an anonymous tag that identifies the user’s computer, but not the user. Cookies may be sent by NextGen MRC or its third party vendors. User can set its browser to notify user before a cookie is received, giving an opportunity to decide whether to accept the cookie.

    (b) Use of Web Beacon Technologies. NextGen MRC may also use Web beacon or other technologies to better tailor its Website(s) to provide better user interface. If these technologies are in use, when a visitor accesses these pages of the Website, a non-identifiable notice of that visit is generated which may be processed by NextGen MRC or by its affiliates. Web beacons usually work in conjunction with cookies. If user does not want cookie information to be associated with user’s visits to these pages, user can set its browser to turn off cookies; however, Web beacon and other technologies will still detect visits to these pages, but the notices they generate cannot be associated with other non-identifiable cookie information and are disregarded.

    (c) Collection of Non-Identifiable Information. NextGen may collect non-identifiable information from user visits to the NextGen’s Website in order to provide better user experience. Examples of such collecting include: traffic analysis, such as tracking of the domains from which users visit, or tracking numbers of visitors; measuring visitor activity on NextGen’s Website; Website and system administration; user analysis; and business decision making. Such information may be used to analyze NextGen Website trends and statistics.

    (d) Collection of Personal Information. NextGen MRC may extract some PII from a user’s interaction with a the NextGen Website in a non-identifiable format and combine it with other non-identifiable information. This information is used and analyzed only at an aggregate level (not at an individual level) to help NextGen understand trends and patterns. This information is not reviewed at an individual level.

  • (a) No Liability for Acts of Third Parties. NextGen MRC will exercise reasonable efforts to safeguard the confidentiality of user’s PII. However, transmissions protected by industry standard security technology and implemented by human beings cannot be made absolutely secure. Consequently, NextGen MRC shall not be liable for unauthorized disclosure of personal information due to no fault of NextGen MRC including, but not limited to, errors in transmission and unauthorized acts of NextGen MRC staff and/or third parties.

  • (a) Changes to Privacy Policy. This privacy notice was last updated as of the date listed below. NextGen MRC reserves the right to update its privacy policy statement at any time. It is the user’s responsibility to review this privacy policy upon use of the NextGen Website to verify that an updated version since the user’s prior visit has been established.

    (b) Opt-Out Right. Users have the right at any time to cease permitting personal information to be collected, used or disclosed by NextGen MRC and/or by any third parties with whom NextGen MRC has shared and/or transferred such PII. Right of cancellation may be exercised by contacting NextGen MRC via the phone and email address provided in the first paragraph of this notice. After processing the cancellation, to the best of their abilities, NextGen MRC will delete user information from its data base.

    (c) Your California Privacy Rights. Beginning on January 1, 2005, California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits users of NextGen MRC who are California residents to request certain information regarding NextGen MRC’s disclosure of personal information for their direct marketing purposes. To make such a request, please write to: NextGen Manchester Resiliency Council, 500 Commercial Street Manchester, NH 03101. Within 30 days of receiving such a request, NextGen MRC will provide a list of the categories of personal information disclosed to third parties for third-party direct marketing purposes during the immediately preceding calendar year, along with the names and addresses of these third parties. This request may be made no more than once per calendar year. NextGen MRC reserves its right not to respond to requests submitted other than to the address specified in this paragraph.

    California’s privacy laws require a company to provide notice to California users of their rights to receive information on to which entities their information was shared for marketing purposes.
